Help pick the image that will be at the top of my blog for the month of August! The images are below and the poll is on the side of my blog. Please only one vote per person. For me this session is all about childhood. These two kiddos played and I tagged along - what fun! There are so many that I love from this session that is hard to pick just a few to put up here.
My family and I spent our vacation with our good friends in Santa Rosa Beach, FL this year. What a fabulous time. We got to hang out, run around on the beach and play the whole weekend. Helen had a fabulous time playing with her friend C. and his new baby sister C. I really enjoyed photographing all of the gorgeous colors while we were there. Helen even let me photograph her on the beach - you would think that since I am a photographer that I have tons of pictures of her, but in fact I don't. She has actively been refusing photographs for years now. Not this time - she hammed it up.

This family has been a client of mine since the very beginning of my business. I always enjoy working with them and the girls really make me laugh. Their cousin was visiting for this session so he joined in as well.
Speed of Life Photography will be closed from July 20th-July 24th. I will be checking email (although not voice mail), however I can't promise a quick response :)
I had a blast photographing this family. Mom had some excellent ideas for our session and the kids were more than willing to participate. They got to drink Coke with great big straws, get caught in a rain storm and play with their umbrellas and rain boots. We were all soaked by the end and it was totally worth it.

Meet A., my brand new adorable nephew! He was born on July 4th and the whole family has been ga-ga over him ever since.
I've got a bunch of images to share - some from the hospital, some from his newborn session and some from his mom's maternity session (which I haven't gotten around to getting up here yet!).

I am excited to share about this neat photography project called Through Their Eyes. It is a group of photographers working together to teach remote African children about photography. They will leave cameras and equipment for the children to photograph their world and experiences. Then the photographers will gather all of the photographs to create a traveling display, coffee table book and possibly a documentary film.
The group is conducting a Blogathon to help raise money for their cause. You can read more about the project and blogathon here. Donations are accepted through Global Hope.
